When trying to develop a screenshot-feature for Selenium Webdriver while using os-functionality to screenshot (.NET: Graphics -> CopyFromScreen()) I recognized that chrome’s pixel aren’t the same then my monitor’s pixel (resolution: 1920 * 1080). Comparing Page Ruler’s (plugin for Chrome) pixel with Greenshot’s (Screenscraper tool for Windows) pixel, I found that there’s a ratio of 1.25. So if you have a chrome distance of 100 pixel, you got a os-distance of 125 pixel. It’s the same ratio for height and width.
The header of the Selenium driven browsers have the following heights at the moment:
Chrome: 82 px
Internet Explorer: 54 px
Firefox: 70 px

FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly
Der XAML Viewer von Visual Studio zeigt statt die GUI zu visualisieren folgende Fehlermeldung:
FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'DevExpress.Xpf.Core.v13.1, Version=13.1.8.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b88d1754d700e49a' or one of its dependencies. Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden.
Schaut man nun in den in den Referenzen angegebenen Pfad findet man die .dll genau der Version, in der sie laut Exception angeblich nicht ladbar wäre.
Die Ursache konnte ich bislang noch nicht finden, aber startet man Visual Studio als Administrator tritt dieses Problem nicht auf. Auch wenn man Visual Studio danach wieder ’normal‘ startet trat dieses Problem nicht nochmal auf. Aber aus der Erfahrung weiß ich, dass es wieder kommen kann.
Windows Administrator Passwort auf VM vergessen
Da es keine direkte Möglichkeit bei einer VM gibt, eine Rettungs-CD einzulegen, wie in etlichen Internet-Beiträgen beschrieben, habe ich mich erfolgreich an meinen VM-Hoster (Host Europe) gewandt. Host Europe hat mir das Windows-Admin-Passwort auf das Initialpasswort, welches im Kundenportal (KIS) angegeben ist zurückgesetzt.
